Final presentation and Gedung Sate!

Today is the day! Our final presentation to Pak Dudi, Kepala of Diskominfo and the management team of the Telematika Division, the unit where we did the work for!

We made a solid presentation of what we did, our findings and recommendations. We explained extensively what we did and everybody really showed interest and wanted to understand what we had done and how we came to our conclusions. They were really surprised on what we found.
Everybody is listing carefully to what is said!

We had Prima, our translator next to me, to help us clarifying things in Bahasa where required.

We summarized & prioritized our recommendations so that they know where to start!
We could identify several quick wins!

The feedback we got was: excellent and applause!

And on top of that we got some nice batik!

And that was not all! A Terima Kasih lunch as well!

The lunch was in a Sundanese restaurant where they served a Sundanese buffet. I liked it very much!
Terima Kasih Banyak!

As the restaurant was close to Gedung Sate, the Governors residence, we were offered to pay a visit over there. I know people who might be jealous being there!
The Gedung Sate is built by the Dutch in 1920 and it took 4 years to build it. It is called Gedung Sate because the stick on top of the building looks like a sate stick with meat on it!
The six bulbs represent 600.000 guilders, the price to build it!
The architect was Ir. John Gerber!

We had the opportunity to visit the building inside!
The official entrance with pictures of the Governor and Vice Governor of West Java.

The flag hall with the gamelan instruments. The flags represent the cities of West Java!
The guide showing Bandung's flag
Manuel showing the flag of West Java

The reception hall!

Marriage dress!

Playing Angklung!

We all went up to the top to enjoy the views, next to a small museum with all kind of things from West Java!

The view at the top is awesome!
The building is built opposite in one line with mount Tangkuban Perahu, although difficult to see in the picture, due to the hazy sky.

The Tangkuban Perahu is called this way as the mountain has a form of an upside down boat and is also part of the West Java insignia. In the grass you can see the weapon that is part of the insignia too!
The room in the roof top of the building! Beautiful sight all around!

Pak Purnomo and our team!

A great day! And a happy client! All you could wish for!
Terima Kasih Banyak!
