Dutch night

Last night we went out for Dinner to the "Indischetafel", a restaurant in a old Dutch house with Dutch desserts and other Dutch dishes as well.

In the front doors, but also the inner windows are made from stained glass. It is totally decorated with old Dutch furniture. At the floor Dutch patterned tiles, and old Dutch songs like "tulpen uit Amsterdam" on the background.

Outside they have the old furniture which I recognize from Tempo Doeloe pictures

The cashier looks like an old store where they sell Dutch cookies, slightly adopted to the Indonesian taste.

The menu was partly in Dutch and dishes like "erwtensoep" and "boerenkool" were part of the menu! The "blinde vinken" are made from beef in stead of pork, adapted to the halal diet. As a starter we had "bitterballen" although the looked and tasted slightly different!

The desert menu showed "poffertjes" and "klappertaart"!

The quality of the food was good. It was a nice experience!
