Rice field walk

After a good night of rest we left in time to do a "jalan kaki" through the rice fields behind cafe lotus (for those who know Ubud).
The first part we walked over tiles with all kind of inscriptions, made by people from all over the world. It looks a bit like the walk of fame in Hollywood.

All rice fields are surrounded by coconut palm trees!

Luxuries houses are built in the middle of the rice fields!

Because we are early people are still working on the fields!

Coconuts form a kind of fence, at the same time decoration!

The mode of transportation is the motor cycle!

Everywhere the shrines! From very simple ones to beautifully decorated!

A man with the well known rice field hat!

Children playing while their parents are working to build more houses!

Women carrying things on their head!
Man harvesting rice!

Collecting banana trunks!

A lot of dragon flies!

And

bebeks!

 A beautiful view!
Selling fresh coconuts!
Another view!

A terrifying scarecrow!

Mom keeps an eye on her son, while carrying heavy stones!

After our rice field walk we had a great lunch at an organic restaurant, strolled shortly over the Pasar, and spend the rest of the afternoon near the swimming pool of our hotel.
It was a hot and humid day! Difficult to imagine that at home it is still freezing at April 1st!

For diner we had a "Mini Rijstafel", yes with one "t" only, at Cafe Lotus!

While we ate we watched a dancing performance in front of Puri Sariswati!

A Bamboo orchestra!
and different dances!

A great closure of the day!

Our driver from the hotel picked us up afterwards, as usual....
